Fee Information
Our Dance season runs from the week of September 15th through to the week of May 25th. We take two weeks off at Christmas and one week off during March Break. Our class fees are all based on $10.00 per hour.
Little Dancers - 30 minute class - $30.00 + HST for a 6 week session. No recital fee. No fundraising fee. Sessions run throughout the season.
Mini Tap, Tartan Tots - 30 minute class - $170.00 + HST for the entire season
Beginner Ballet, Pre-Primary Ballet, Primary Ballet, Demi Pointe, Pointe 1, Senior Pointe, Tap 1, Tap 2, Scottish Highland Dance 1, Acro 1, Acro 2, Jitter Bugs, Modern 1, Modern 2 - 45 minute class - $255.00 + HST for the entire season
Grade 1 Ballet, Modern 3, Modern 4, Acro 3, Scottish Highland Dance 2 - 1 hour class - $340.00 + HST for the entire season
Grade 3B Ballet, Senior Modern - 1 hour 15 minute class - $425.00 + HST for the entire season
Pre Elementary A Ballet, Senior Ballet - 1 hour 30 minute class - $510.00 + HST for the entire season
NEW Acting Classes - 45 minute class - $45.00 + HST for a 6 week session. No recital fee. No fundraising fee. Sessions run throughput the season.

Recital Fee: We charge one $20.00 + HST recital fee per dancer per type of dance class they have enrolled in. For example if Jennifer is enrolled in Ballet and Modern for the Dance Season, then $40.00 of Recital Fees will be added to her statement. This fee helps to offset expenses such as: venue, fabric, sets, props, and rentals for the year end performance.
We do not charge families for costumes. Costumes belong to The Dance Academy.
Fundraising Fee: We are a non-profit organization. Our expenses include such things as: rent, heat, hydro, water, insurance, advertising, teacher's salaries, and everything needed to put on our year end performance (i.e. facility rental, technical support, stage equipment, etc.). Our fees do not cover all our expenses, therefore, in addition to class and recital fees, a fundraising amount of $75.00 will be added to each family's statement. No matter how many children in one family are dancing and no matter how many classes they are taking, there is only one $75.00 fundraising fee applied to the family's statement.
We will provide several fundraising opportunities throughout the year to help families raise the fundraising amount, or each family may choose to pay the fundraising amount on its own.
90% of the profit you bring in from these fundraisers will be first deducted from your fundraising amount and once your fundraising amount has been eliminated then the 90% of the profit will be deducted from your remaining fee balance. Any money you fundraise over your remaining fee balance will then contribute to The Dance Academy's general fundraising account.
Please note that any money raised during our fundraisers is raised in the name of The Dance Academy of Mount Forest and therefore belongs to The Dance Academy of Mount Forest. If your account is paid in full and you decide to participate in any of our fundraisers, 100% of the profit your order raises will be used by The Dance Academy to off set our expenses and we thank you!
Payment Options:
We require that your balance is either paid in full OR is paid in 4 payments over the course of the dance season by the following dates:
September 8th, 2024 - 25% of total invoice balance due
November 2nd, 2024 - next 25% payment due
February 22nd, 2025 - next 25% payment due
May 3rd, 2025 - existing balance due
*Sponsors may be available if payment is an obstacle for having your child(ren) dance with us! To receive sponsorship for payment of fees, proof of social assistance benefits is required. Information about sponsorship recipients is kept highly confidential.
